{"id":25736,"date":"2022-07-20T05:22:33","date_gmt":"2022-07-20T05:22:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/gyalchisarshog.com\/?p=25736"},"modified":"2022-07-20T05:29:31","modified_gmt":"2022-07-20T05:29:31","slug":"australians-urged-to-work-from-home-as-covid-hospital-cases-surge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gyalchisarshog.com\/?p=25736","title":{"rendered":"Australians urged to work from home as COVID hospital cases surge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ALJAZEERA News:-   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Australians have been urged to work from home and wear masks indoors as the number of people in hospital with COVID-19 nears record levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The country is in the midst of a third wave of coronavirus, driven by the BA.4 and BA.5 Omicron subvariants, and earlier this month <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.com\/news\/2022\/7\/7\/australia-expands-fourth-covid-dose-rollout-amid-fresh-omicron-threat\">broadened access to second booster shots<\/a> to deal with the surge in cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">aily cases climbed to 50,248 on Tuesday, the highest in two months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some 5,239 Australians are currently in hospital with COVID-19, just short of the record 5,390 recorded in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe need to do some things differently at least for a short period of time,\u201d Australia\u2019s Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly told ABC Radio on Wednesday, as he predicted the number of people admitted to hospital will soon hit an all-time high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe know that working from home is a very key component of stopping what we call macro spreading.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At a press conference later, however, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that working from home was a matter between companies and their employees and noted that it was simply not possible for some people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBusinesses will continue to make those decisions,\u201d Albanese was quoted as saying by the Sydney Morning Herald. \u201cThey need to make them on the basis of safety. But also, for some people, we need to recognise that they can\u2019t work from home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s a matter of getting the balance right.
