LONDON, March 28 – Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets of central \u200bLondon on Saturday for a “March to \u200cStop the Far Right” with many demonstrators decrying the right-wing Reform UK party of \u200bBrexit campaigner Nigel Farage, which is \u200btopping opinion polls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Backed by trade unions \u2060and civil society groups, the Together \u200bAlliance demonstration looked set to be one \u200bof the biggest in the British capital in recent years with about 30,000 people expected \u200bto take part, according to a \u200bpolice official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As well as placards opposing Reform UK and \u200cits \u2060anti-immigration stance, some Iranian flags were held aloft along with pro-Palestinian flags and banners. The march was due to \u200bend close \u200bto the \u2060British parliament building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reform leads the Labour Party of Prime Minister \u200bKeir Starmer as well as \u200bthe \u2060other traditional British political parties, according to opinion polls.
