A number of Aer Lingus flights have been cancelled from its summer schedule due to what it has described as “mandatory maintenance on aircraft”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The airline said “a limited number” of adjustments have been made, adding that the “vast majority of customers” are being accommodated on same-day services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It comes after the Sunday Independent reported that “more than 500” Aer Lingus flights are being cut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The airline said the schedule changes apply to approximately 2% of Aer Lingus’ overall schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Sunday Independent reported that flights from Dublin to European airports -including Amsterdam, Athens, Berlin, Faro and Zurich are to be removed from the schedule on a range of dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
