Those affected included guests, visitors and emergency responders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Preliminary observations indicate that the fire spread rapidly due to the flammable nature \u200bof parts of the roof structures made of palm, as \u200bwell as wind conditions,&#8221; the country&#8217;s Emergency Operations Center (COE) said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, \u200cwhich \u2060franchises some 8,400 hotels worldwide, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fire was brought under control but its causes were still being investigated, the operations center said.
