LONDON, July 13 – Britain on Monday announced a new \u200bpackage of sanctions targeting \u200bRussian cyber networks, which it \u2060blamed for trying to \u200bsow chaos and division across \u200bEurope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Today\u2019s action targets 24 individuals\u202f and entities\u202f behind \u202fthe destructive cyber and hybrid \u200boperations\u202f including cybercriminals \u202finvolved in \u200bproxy networks\u202flinked to the Russian Intelligence\u202f \u200cServices,” \u2060the government said in a statement on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This includes sanctioning GRU senior leadership figures \u200bVyacheslav Stafeyev, \u200bIvan \u2060Senin and Ivan Kasyanenko for their role \u200bin directing GRU cyber \u200band \u2060hybrid threat operations.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Russia’s embassy in London had no immediate \u2060comment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
